Addressing Government Agencies and Institutions in the State

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar (Department of Protocol) – presents its best regards to all diplomatic missions and distinguished offices accredited to the State of Qatar.

     The Ministry would like to inform the heads of diplomatic missions and distinguished offices accredited to the State that it has been noted that some diplomatic missions and offices have addressed government agencies and institutions in Doha without referring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs according to the established procedures.

     With reference to the previous circulars issued by the Ministry on not addressing directly any government agency or institutions in the State and that correspondence should be conducted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Protocol Department).

     The Ministry hopes all diplomatic missions and distinguished offices accredited to the State not to address directly any government agency or institutions in the State to avoid embarrassment, delay and duplication of work and that for the sake of public interest.

     The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar takes this opportunity to express its utmost appreciation and respect to all.
